Which of the following park/zone has not been developed by RIICO in Rajasthan ?
- (1)Medtech Medical Devices Park – Boranada, Jodhpur
- (2)Integrated Resource Recovery Park – Jamwa Ramgarh, Jaipur
- (3)Sports Goods and Toys Zone – Khushkheda, Bhiwadi
- (4)Agro Food Park – Udaipur
Answer
Why
Correct — option (4), Agro Food Park – Udaipur.
The stem asks which park or zone was not developed by RIICO, the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation. The Economic Review 2023-24 lists RIICO's special parks and zones, and three of the options match entries in it.
Option (1): RIICO developed the MED Tech Medical Devices Park at Boranada, Jodhpur, on 274 acres.
Option (2): RIICO developed the Integrated Resource Recovery Park at Jamwaramgarh (Thaulai industrial area), Jaipur, on 48.21 hectares.
Option (3): RIICO developed the Sports Goods and Toys Zone at Khushkheda Industrial Area, Bhiwadi-II, and all 39 planned plots have been allotted.
For agro food parks, the Review names four RIICO locations. Udaipur is not one of them, so the answer is option (4), Agro Food Park – Udaipur.
The idea to remember: RIICO's four Agro Food Parks are at Boranada (Jodhpur), Kota, Alwar and Sriganganagar.
Why the others are wrong
- (1)Medtech Medical Devices Park – Boranada, Jodhpur — RIICO did develop this park. The Economic Review 2023-24 records a MED Tech Medical Devices Park at Boranada, Jodhpur, on 274 acres of land, with the process of land allotment started.
Boranada also has one of RIICO's four Agro Food Parks, so the same place appears twice in RIICO's list.
- (2)Integrated Resource Recovery Park – Jamwa Ramgarh, Jaipur — RIICO did develop this park. It is at Jamwaramgarh, in the Thaulai industrial area of Jaipur district, on 48.21 hectares.
Its stated purpose is to promote pollution control and environmental protection, and allotment of plots through e-auction has begun.
- (3)Sports Goods and Toys Zone – Khushkheda, Bhiwadi — RIICO did develop this zone. It is at Khushkheda Industrial Area, Bhiwadi-II, spread over 56,576 square metres.
Thirty-nine plots were planned in the zone, and all of them have been allotted, according to the Economic Review 2023-24.
Concept
RIICO develops industrial areas and infrastructure across Rajasthan and gives financial assistance for industrial projects. In 2023-24 it acquired 1,266.72 acres of land, developed 1,068.99 acres and allotted 1,784 plots.
Besides general industrial areas, RIICO builds parks and zones for particular sectors, so that similar units can share infrastructure.
The Economic Review 2023-24 lists these special facilities: a medical devices park, an integrated resource recovery park, four agro food parks and an agro & food processing zone, a sports goods and toys zone, Japanese Zones, and special economic zones.
RPSC's 2024 syllabus lists "Major Agricultural, Industrial and Service Sector Issues" and "Infrastructure & Resources" under Economy of Rajasthan. RIICO's parks sit where the two meet.
The Review's list of RIICO's special parks and zones covers medical devices, resource recovery, agro food processing, sports goods and toys, Japanese investors and export processing. Each facility is tied to a named industrial area.
Place names repeat across the list. Boranada in Jodhpur has both the medical devices park and an agro food park, so one location cannot stand for one park.

Common traps
- Boranada, Jodhpur hosts both the MED Tech Medical Devices Park and an Agro Food Park. A question can pair either facility with Boranada and still be correct.
- The Agro & Food Processing Zone at Tinwari, Jodhpur is listed separately from the four Agro Food Parks. Do not count it as a fifth park.
- A Mega Food Park comes under a scheme of the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries, a different programme from RIICO's Agro Food Parks. The Greentech Mega Food Park in Ajmer is one example, and Ajmer is not among RIICO's four agro food park locations.
A question on State industrial infrastructure can pair a park or zone with a place and ask which pairing is wrong, or which facility a named agency did not develop.
A question can keep a real type of park in the false option and change only the city.
