What’s inside the Combined Module?
Both compulsory IFoS Mains papers (General English (300) and General Knowledge (300)) in one package: 35 videos, ~28 hours, 41 documents, PYQs mapped across 13 years, and the 156-page Science & Technology handouts. Everything is ready on day one.
Why prepare the compulsory papers at all: aren’t they easy?
They’re 600 marks, more than 40% of the written total, and they carry into the final merit list in full. In 2025, 19 recommended candidates finished within 10 marks of the cut-off. This is where the field scatters, because almost everyone assumes these papers take care of themselves.
How long does it take to finish?
About 28 hours: roughly three weeks of evenings. Week 1 English, Week 2 GK Syllabus Parsing, Week 3 PYQ Mapping plus model answers and S&T maps. You can compress or stretch it to your own pace.
I’m writing IFoS Mains this November: is there time?
Yes. Do the English module first (formats convert fastest), then GK. These are the only IFoS Mains papers you can finish in a fortnight of evenings: your optionals can’t be.
I’m targeting 2027, not this year: is this still for me?
Especially for you. Finish both compulsory papers now while your calendar is quiet; in 2027 the Aug–Nov stretch belongs entirely to your 800 marks of optionals. The syllabus and marks haven’t changed since 2022, so the work holds.
