Medtech Medical Devices Park is located at
- (1)Ganeshwar Extension, Sikar
- (2)Maal Ki Toos, Udaipur
- (3)Nainwa, Bundi
- (4)Boranada, Jodhpur (undivided)
Answer
Why
Correct — option (4), Boranada, Jodhpur (undivided).
Rajasthan's Economic Review 2023-24 lists the MED Tech Medical Devices Park among the special parks developed by RIICO, the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation. It stands at Boranada, Jodhpur, on 274 acres, and land allotment there had begun.
"(Undivided)" in the option points to Jodhpur district as it stood before the 2023 reorganisation, when new districts, including Phalodi, were carved from it.
The other three options are RIICO industrial areas. The same Review names Maal ki Toos (Udaipur) and Nainwa (Bundi) among ten new industrial areas developed in 2023-24. The Review for 2024-25 lists Ganeshwar (Sikar) among new areas developed up to December 2024.
Every option is an industrial location, so only the park's own address settles it.
Why the others are wrong
- (1)Ganeshwar Extension, Sikar — The Economic Review 2024-25 lists Ganeshwar (Sikar) among new RIICO industrial areas developed in 2024-25 (up to December 2024). That is a general industrial area, not the medical devices park.
The name is also known from history: Ganeshwar in Sikar district is a Copper Age site. Neither link connects it to the MED Tech park at Boranada.
- (2)Maal Ki Toos, Udaipur — Maal ki Toos is one of the ten new industrial areas RIICO developed in 2023-24, covering 11.76 hectares in Udaipur, according to the Economic Review 2023-24.
The same Review lists the medical devices park separately, among RIICO's special parks, at Boranada in Jodhpur.
- (3)Nainwa, Bundi — Nainwa is another of the ten new RIICO industrial areas of 2023-24, covering 17.44 hectares in Bundi, according to the Economic Review 2023-24.
It is a general industrial area in the Hadoti region, not a sector park. The MED Tech Medical Devices Park is at Boranada, Jodhpur.
Concept
RIICO is the Rajasthan government corporation that develops industrial land. Besides general industrial areas, it builds special parks and zones for particular sectors, where units of one industry share purpose-built infrastructure.
The Economic Review 2023-24 lists RIICO's special parks and zones, including the MED Tech Medical Devices Park at Boranada (Jodhpur) and the Integrated Resource Recovery Park at Jamwaramgarh–Thaulai (Jaipur).
The list also has Agro Food Parks at Boranada, Kota, Alwar and Sriganganagar, the Sports Goods and Toys Zone at Khushkheda (Bhiwadi) and a Japanese Zone at Neemrana, with another Japanese Zone at Ghiloth.
Boranada in Jodhpur holds two of these: the medical devices park and an Agro Food Park.
RPSC's 2024 Prelims syllabus lists "Major Agricultural, Industrial and Service Sector Issues" and "Major Development Projects" under the Economy of Rajasthan. RIICO's parks and zones belong to both heads.
Sector parks are the state's way of clustering one industry on purpose-built land: medical devices at Boranada, recycling at Thaulai, toys at Khushkheda, Japanese firms at Neemrana.
District names need care, because Rajasthan's district map was redrawn in 2023 and revised again in December 2024.

Common traps
- All four options are real RIICO locations. Recognising a place as an industrial area does not tell you which park it holds.
- Boranada holds more than one RIICO facility — the medical devices park and an Agro Food Park. Match the park's name, not just the place.
- Ganeshwar is also the name of a Copper Age site in Sikar district. A name familiar from history can pull an economy answer the wrong way.
A question can name a park, zone or project and ask for its location, as this one does, or list places and ask which holds a given facility.
A question can also set statements on a park's area, the agency developing it or the sector it serves.
