The Government of Rajasthan's Economic Review 2023-24 names ten new industrial areas that RIICO developed during 2023-24, each with its district. The four in List-I belong to four different districts.
A. Nadol is in Pali (83.09 hectares), so A-iv.
B. Dharmpura is in Barmer (35.00 hectares), so B-iii.
C. Umriya is in Jhalawar (48.39 hectares), so C-ii.
D. Maal ki Toos is in Udaipur (11.76 hectares), so D-i.
That set of pairs, A-iv, B-iii, C-ii, D-i, is option (2).
A shortcut: A-iv and D-i appear together only in options (1) and (2). Those two codes differ only on whether Dharmpura or Umriya goes to Barmer, so fixing either of those pairs settles the answer.
A memory hook for Nadol: it is the old Naddula, capital of the Chauhans of Nadol between the 10th and 12th centuries.
The idea to remember: Pali and Udaipur each got two of RIICO's ten new industrial areas in 2023-24 — Nadol and Varkana in Pali, Maal ki Toos and Malwa ka chora in Udaipur.
Why the others are wrong

- (3)A-ii, B-iv, C-i, D-iii — Every pair in this code is wrong. It puts Nadol in Jhalawar, Dharmpura in Pali, Umriya in Udaipur and Maal ki Toos in Barmer.
The correct districts are Nadol–Pali, Dharmpura–Barmer, Umriya–Jhalawar and Maal ki Toos–Udaipur. Pali's second new area in the 2023-24 list is Varkana, not Dharmpura.
- (4)A-iii, B-i, C-iv, D-ii — Every pair in this code is wrong too. It puts Nadol in Barmer, Dharmpura in Udaipur, Umriya in Pali and Maal ki Toos in Jhalawar.
In RIICO's 2023-24 list, Jhalawar's new industrial area is Umriya and Barmer's is Dharmpura. Maal ki Toos, at 11.76 hectares the smallest of the ten, is in Udaipur.
Concept
RIICO, the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Limited, is the State body that develops industrial areas. The Economic Review 2023-24 gives its main objectives as developing industrial infrastructure and providing financial assistance for investment promotion.
RIICO acquires land, develops it and allots plots. In 2023-24 it acquired 1,266.72 acres, developed 1,068.99 acres and allotted 1,784 plots, a count that includes industrial, commercial, residential and other plots.
Besides general industrial areas, RIICO builds special parks and zones for particular sectors, such as the MED Tech Medical Devices Park at Boranada, Jodhpur.
RPSC's 2024 syllabus lists "Major Agricultural, Industrial and Service Sector Issues" and "Infrastructure & Resources" under Economy of Rajasthan, and "Major Industries" under Geography of Rajasthan. New RIICO industrial areas touch all three.
Industrial land is where investment policy becomes physical. Each year's Economic Review records the new areas RIICO has developed, so the list is a snapshot of one year, and next year's list is different.
The ten names of 2023-24 can be grouped by district. Pali and Udaipur have two each; Jodhpur, Jhalawar, Nagaur, Jaipur, Barmer and Bundi have one each.

- Pali and Udaipur each have two new areas in RIICO's 2023-24 list: Nadol and Varkana in Pali, Maal ki Toos and Malwa ka chora in Udaipur. A pair naming either one with its district is correct.
- Nadol (Pali) and Nainwa (Bundi) are both on the list and look alike on a quick read. Tie each name to its own district before checking the codes.
- The ten new industrial areas are a separate list from RIICO's special parks. Boranada, Jodhpur has the medical devices park, but the new industrial area in Jodhpur district in 2023-24 is Osiyan.
