Classified against Mizoram Public Service Commission, Notification No.A.12034/18/2025-MPSC(EXAM), "Scheme of Examination for Mizoram Civil Services (Combined Competitive) Examination, 2025", dated Aizawl, the 27th August 2025 (signed by Dr. H. Lianzela, Secretary, MPSC; issued in supersession of MPSC's notification of even number dt.01/08/2025, and as provided under Schedule-I of the Mizoram Civil Services (Combined Competitive Examination) Rules, 2025, notified in the Mizoram Gazette Extraordinary Issue No. 314, Vol-LIV dated 16.05.2025). Section A(g) "Mark distribution and No. of questions (Indicative)" for "Paper-I : General Studies" lists 8 lettered heads (a)-(h) with a per-head question count (14,12,12,12,12,12,12,14 = 100 questions), which is the syllabus breakdown used here. This is distinct from the unrelated "Syllabus for Gazetted Posts" notification (No.A.12032/1/2025-MPSC(PRE)(A), dated 27.02.2026), which governs a different, generic "General/Technical Competitive Examination" framework (200-mark GS papers, different structure) used for other Group B gazetted posts -- not the Mizoram Civil Services cadre this question paper belongs to.
