Classified against Government of Jammu and Kashmir, General Administration Department (Services), "SRO-103" Notification dated Jammu, 23rd February 2018 -- "the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination Rules, 2018", made by the Governor under the proviso to section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. Rule 14(1) states the Preliminary Examination is conducted "as per the detailed syllabus in Appendix-II (Part-A)". Appendix-II ("SYLLABI FOR THE EXAMINATION"), Part-A ("PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION"), lists Paper I (200 marks, General Studies, the paper this question set is drawn from) as 7 unnumbered bullet points, plus a standing note: "Questions pertaining to the state of Jammu & Kashmir may also be asked in this paper." Part-A also separately lists Paper II (CSAT-style aptitude, 200 marks, qualifying only at 33%) -- out of scope here since this question set is GS Paper-I only. (source).
