Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — B. On 19 May 2025, Dr Jitendra Singh released the e-book of the electronic Civil List, 2025, a digital compendium of serving IAS officers.

All India Radio reported it as the 70th edition and the fifth in fully digital form, with each officer's batch, cadre, posting and retirement date as of 1 January 2025 → option (b).

Why the others are wrong

National Grievance Redress Portal — Grievance redress already had a national system: CPGRAMS, set up in June 2007 by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. It was not a May 2025 launch.

Concept

The Civil List is a directory of serving Indian Administrative Service officers. Its 2025 edition was released by Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in the PMO and for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

The e-book gives each officer's name, batch, cadre, present posting, pay level, qualifications and retirement date, with cadre-wise strength and five-year retirement projections.
