Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Correct — C. Thang-Ta is the armed part of Huyen Langlon, the martial art of the Meitei people of Manipur → option (c).

The name is its two weapons: thang is the sword and ta the spear. It is practised as ritual, as demonstration and as combat, which is why it also appears as a martial dance.

Assam — Assam is known for Bihu and the classical Sattriya dance. Thang-Ta, the sword-and-spear art, belongs to the Meitei tradition of Manipur.

Concept

Huyen Langlon is the traditional martial art of Manipur. It has two parts:

Sarit Sarak: unarmed fighting

Thang-Ta is practised in ritual and demonstration forms as well as in combat, and it is linked to Manipuri war dances and to Manipuri classical dance.
