Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — C. Amritlal Vithaldas Thakkar, known as Thakkar Bapa, founded the Bhil Seva Mandal in 1922 to work among the Bhil tribe.

In the Constituent Assembly he chaired the sub-committee on Excluded and Partially Excluded Areas (other than Assam), which dealt with tribal areas → option (c).

Why the others are wrong

Women — The Bhil Seva Mandal he founded served the Bhils, and the Harijan Sevak Sangh he served as general secretary worked among Dalits. Women's welfare is not his cause.

Children — Children were not his focus. He is remembered for tribal welfare, from the Bhil Seva Mandal to the Constituent Assembly's excluded-areas sub-committee.

Industrial workers — His work was among tribal communities, such as the Bhils of Gujarat, and among Dalits. Organising mill workers is not what he is known for.

Concept

Thakkar Bapa was a Gandhian social worker from Bhavnagar. He joined Gokhale's Servants of India Society in 1914 and spent the rest of his life in welfare work among tribal and Dalit communities.

His tribal work, through the Bhil Seva Mandal and later as chairman of the Constituent Assembly sub-committee on excluded areas outside Assam, is what the question asks about.
