Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — B.
Rule: rewrite each clue as an equation, then solve from the fixed date.

Indore = Surat − 3, so Surat = 8 + 3 = 11th April.
Nashik = Surat + 2 = 11 + 2 = 13th April.

Nashik falls 3 + 2 = 5 days after Indore → option (b).

Why the others are wrong

12th April — 12th April is 4 days after Indore. The two gaps add to 3 + 2 = 5 days, so Nashik falls one day later, on the 13th.

14thApril — 14th April is 3 days after Surat. The question puts Nashik 2 days after Surat, which is the 13th.
(d)
15th April — 15th April is 4 days after Surat, twice the stated gap of 2 days. Surat is the 11th, so Nashik is the 13th.

Concept

Relative-date items fix one date and link the others to it with before and after. Turn each clue into an equation — Indore = Surat − 3, Nashik = Surat + 2 — then work outward from the date you know.

Surat is the hinge here. Indore sits 3 days before it and Nashik 2 days after it, so Nashik is 5 days after Indore: 8 + 5 = 13.

All three dates fall inside April, so no month change enters the count. If a chain ran past 30th April, you would carry into May.
