Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — C. Phool Dei (printed 'Phuldei') is a folk festival of Uttarakhand that welcomes spring on the first day of the Hindu month of Chaitra.

Children go from house to house with plates of rice, jaggery and flowers, and place flowers and rice on each doorstep: the floral offering in the stem → option (c).

Concept

Several of Uttarakhand's folk festivals mark the seasons.

Phool Dei opens Chaitra and the spring. Children carry flowers, rice and jaggery to every house and receive sweets, jaggery or money in return. Harela, a festival of greenery, is another Uttarakhand festival.

The paper writes 'Phuldei', and its Hindi version prints फूलदेई. The name is also written Phool Dei, from phool, a flower.
