Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Statement 2 is wrong: it is a group dance, not a solo. Men and women join hands in a chain and move in serpentine patterns with one dancer leading, and the dance can build a human pyramid. Only statement 1 → option (a).

Why the others are wrong

Concept

A two-statement item on a folk dance checks two things separately: who performs it and how it is performed. Here statement 1 gets the performers right and statement 2 gets the form wrong.

Dangi Nritya is collective: dancers hold hands in a long chain behind a leader, move fast through changing patterns, and each variety of step is called a chala. Calling it a solo misdescribes the form.

Statement 2 also says the dance mimics farm tools. You do not need to settle that point: the word solo alone makes statement 2 wrong.
