Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — A. At the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships 2024 in Panchkula, Sahil Silwal of Haryana won the men's javelin with 81.81 m, ahead of Vikrant Malik and Kishore Jena.
Statement 1's gold, won with a throw past 80 m, checks out.

Statement 2 fails. Jyothika Sri Dandi ran for India A in the mixed 4x400m relay, but Amoj Jacob ran for India B, and India A's mark was a national record, not an Asian Games record: option (a).

Why the others are wrong

Concept

The National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships is India's national meet for state teams. The 2024 edition, the 63rd, was held in Panchkula, Haryana, in June 2024.

India also ran national relay squads there. The India A mixed 4x400m team of Muhammed Anas, Jyothika Sri Dandi, Muhammed Ajmal and Kiran Pahal set a national record.

Only the gold and the 81.81 m mark are confirmed here. The clause 'crossed 80m for the first time this season' could not be confirmed for Silwal.

The official result sheet shows 81.81 m was his sixth and last throw in the final, and his only one past 80 m.
