R = 250% of P, so P = R ÷ 2.5 = 2R⁄5
R = 300% of Q, so Q = R ÷ 3 = R⁄3

One year's interest, in rupees:
7% of 6k + 9% of 5k + 11% of 15k
= (42k + 45k + 165k) ÷ 100 = 2.52k
2.52k = 2520, so k = 1000

Why the others are wrong
- (a)₹5000 — ₹5000 is the amount in Scheme Q, since Q = 5k = ₹5000. With P = ₹5000 the year's interest would be 0.42 × 5000 = ₹2100, not ₹2520.
