Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Why

Correct — B. The trigger is the verb enjoy, which takes an object: you enjoy something, or you enjoy yourself. "We enjoyed very much" gives it none.

The subject is We, so the object is the reflexive ourselves:
We enjoyed ourselves very much at the party → option (b)

Why the others are wrong

(a)
have enjoyed very much — Still no object. Moving to the present perfect changes the tense but leaves enjoy with nothing to enjoy, which was the original error.
(c)
enjoyed at the party — Repeats the phrase and keeps the error. The sentence would read "We enjoyed at the party at the party": the place twice, and enjoy still without an object.
(d)
were enjoyed — The passive flips the meaning. "We were enjoyed at the party" says someone else enjoyed us, when the sentence means we had a good time.

Concept

Some verbs must take an object. Enjoy is one: "I enjoyed the film" or "I enjoyed myself", not a bare "I enjoyed" meaning "I had a good time".

When nothing else is enjoyed, the object is a reflexive pronoun matching the subject: I → myself, we → ourselves, they → themselves, he → himself.

Avail and pride work the same way: avail yourself of an offer, pride yourself on your work.

The informal exception. Dictionaries record a bare "Enjoy!" in casual speech, said when handing someone food or a gift. A sentence reporting how a party went still needs the object.

Accepting "We enjoyed very much" because it sounds like everyday speech.
Changing the tense, as in "have enjoyed", when the error is a missing object.
