Why

Correct — C. MG stands for Musicians Guild, and the MG Music Awards are given by the Musicians Guild of Nagaland.

The first edition was a virtual ceremony held on 21 June 2021, during the pandemic. The second was staged in person on 18 June 2022 at the RCEMPA hall in Jotsoma, Kohima district.

The categories are contemporary rather than classical — Best Rock Artist, Best Gospel Artist, Best Folk Fusion Artist, Song of the Year — which fits the state the guild belongs to.

Why the others are wrong

(a)
Manipur — The presenting body is the Musicians Guild Nagaland, not a Manipur organisation. Manipur is in the list because the North Eastern states blur together for a candidate who has not met this award by name.
(b)
Mizoram — Mizoram has no part in these awards. The guild that runs them is a Nagaland body, and its 2022 ceremony was held at Jotsoma in Kohima district.
(d)
Chhattisgarh — Chhattisgarh is not a North Eastern state at all. It is the odd entry in a list otherwise made of North East states, and it has no link to the Musicians Guild.

Concept

This is a state-mapping item: SSC names a cultural event and asks which state owns it.

Nagaland is the state that markets itself on music. The MG Music Awards sit alongside that reputation — an annual, guild-run ceremony with genre categories for rock, gospel, indie, rap and folk fusion rather than for film or classical music.
