Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — C. The 44th National Archery Championship in Jamshedpur ended on 20 December 2024. In the men's recurve final, Dhiraj Bommadevara beat Divyansh Chaudhary 6-2 for his first national title.

In the women's recurve final, Deepika Kumari beat Ankita Bhakat 6-2. Dhiraj and Deepika → option (c).

Why the others are wrong

Atanu Das and Deepika Kumari — Atanu Das won gold with Deepika in the mixed team event. The men's individual recurve title went to Dhiraj Bommadevara.

Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat — Ankita Bhakat reached the women's final but lost 6-2 to Deepika Kumari, so she took silver, not the title.
(d)
Pravin Jadhav and Komalika Bari — Neither archer contested the individual recurve finals. Those were Dhiraj against Divyansh Chaudhary and Deepika against Ankita Bhakat.

Concept

Recurve and compound are separate divisions: the recurve bow's limb tips curve away from the archer, while the compound bow uses pulleys and cables. The recurve programme at Jamshedpur had individual, team and mixed-team golds.

Olympians took both recurve individual titles: Dhiraj for the Services (SSCB) and Deepika for the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), with whom she also won the mixed team alongside Atanu Das.

Both women's finalists were Paris Olympics team-mates. Ankita Bhakat shot for Jharkhand, the host state, while Deepika competed for PSPB.
