Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — C. The Subroto Cup International Football Tournament is an inter-school competition held in New Delhi, first played in 1960.

The Indian Air Force conducts it, and it is named after Air Marshal Subroto Mukerjee, the first Indian to command the IAF. Its grounds in the capital include Ambedkar Stadium and Subroto Park → option (c).

Concept

Subroto Mukerjee became the first Indian to command the Indian Air Force in 1954. He conceived a school football tournament in 1958, while Chief of the Air Staff.

The Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society was formed in 1960, the year he died, and the Cup began that year.

School teams qualify through divisional and state rounds for the national tournament, and foreign school teams also take part.

The Cup is not only for Indian schools. School teams from other countries have played in it, and the first foreign team to reach the final was the Special Sports School from Uzbekistan, in 1993.
