Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — B. The Athletics Federation of India's event-wise bib list for the 59th National Cross Country Championships 2025 gives the venue as Army Golf Course, Meerut (U.P.) and the date as 12 January 2025.

That fixes both halves of the answer: 12 January 2025, in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Why the others are wrong

Concept

The National Cross Country Championships are the Athletics Federation of India's national meet for distance running over open ground rather than a track.

The 2025 edition, the 59th, was held at the Army Golf Course in Meerut on 12 January 2025. Its programme ran from senior 10 km races for men and women down to 2 km races for under-16 boys and girls.

The stem asks where and when the meet will be held, so it was framed as an event still to come. AFI also lists a 60th edition in 2026, so read the edition number before the venue.
