Correct — B. Figure X is a small right-angled triangle: a horizontal top edge, a vertical right edge, and a slanting side falling from the left end of the horizontal to the foot of the vertical.
Two details go with it. The horizontal runs on past the corner to the right, the vertical pokes up above it, and a solid dot sits on the slanting side.
Rule: rotation is barred, so the slant direction and both overhangs must survive unchanged.
Option (b) carries all of it — the long horizontal, the vertical dropping from the tall apex and the slanting line bearing the dot meet in exactly that arrangement, with the horizontal continuing rightwards and the vertical rising above it.
Why the others are wrong
- (a)Option (a) is a plain five-pointed star with a dot on one edge. It has no right angle and no horizontal crossing a vertical.

The instruction bars rotation. A mirror image is not the same figure either — X has to appear the same way round, simply buried inside a busier drawing.
