Correct — A. Sulochana Chavan (1933-2022) is the Lavani singer awarded the Padma Shri in 2022, in the field of art.

She was known as Lavani Samradnyi, the queen of Lavani, and was a Sangeet Natak Akademi Award winner as well — SSC itself introduces her that way in another shift.

The other three are Marathi singers too, but their reputations are in film and classical music rather than Lavani, which is what makes option (a) the fit.

Concept

Lavani is a Marathi song-and-dance form of Maharashtra, sung to the beat of the dholki, fast in tempo and frankly erotic in its older repertoire. It travelled through Tamasha, the state's popular travelling theatre.

Sulochana Chavan recorded Lavani from the 1950s onward and sang in Hindi and other languages as well.

The Padma Shri is the fourth of the civilian honours, below the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan.
