Concept
Syllogism items mix two different jobs. One is combining statements, which needs a chain such as all cars are birds and all birds are leaves.

The instruction to accept the statements even where they clash with known facts is doing real work here — cars are not birds.
Treat the three sentences purely as class relations and the oddity stops mattering.
