Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — B. The Dhar district administration's festival page describes it: in Shravan, the palki (palanquin) procession of Lord Shiva as Dharnath goes round Dhar city, and it is 'also called as Chhabina by the locals'.

Why the others are wrong

Jhanki — A jhanki is a tableau, a staged scene carried or driven in a procession. It is one part of a procession, not the local name for Dharnath's.

Rath — A rath is a chariot, the vehicle of a rath yatra. Dharnath travels in a palki, a palanquin, and his procession's local name is Chhabina.

Sawari — Sawari means a deity's ride or procession, and the Dhar page uses the word in passing. But the name it gives as the locals' own is Chhabina.

Concept

In Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, Lord Shiva is worshipped as Dharnath. In the month of Shravan his palki is carried round the city, and the town has its own name for the procession.

The district's page records two civic rituals. The District Collector starts the procession with a puja and carries the palki, and policemen offer a guard of honour to Lord Dharnath.

The district page uses both words: Chhabina as what the locals call the procession, and 'sawari' in passing for the ride itself. The stem's 'locally referred to as' matches the first.

Picking Sawari because it also means a deity's procession: the stem asks for the local name, which the district records as Chhabina.
Picking Rath out of habit from rath yatras: Dharnath is carried in a palki, not pulled in a chariot.
