Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. The solutions are written by UnlockIAS.

Why

Correct — B. Similipal National Park is in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, so this pair is correctly matched.

The other three parks are real but placed in the wrong state. Namdapha is in Arunachal Pradesh, Bandipur in Karnataka and Vansda in Gujarat → option (b).

Why the others are wrong

Namdapha National Park – Nagaland — Namdapha is in Arunachal Pradesh, in Changlang district, not Nagaland. Both are north-eastern states, which is what makes the swap tempting.
(c)
Bandipur National Park – Andhra Pradesh — Bandipur is in Karnataka, in Chamarajanagar district, and became a tiger reserve under Project Tiger in 1973. It is not in Andhra Pradesh.
(d)
Vansda National Park – Rajasthan — Vansda is in Gujarat, in Navsari district on the Ambika river. Rajasthan's national parks include Ranthambore and Keoladeo, not Vansda.

Namdapha: Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh. A national park and tiger reserve since 1983.

Vansda: Navsari, Gujarat. On the banks of the Ambika river.

All four parks are genuine, so recognising a name is not enough. The question tests the state, and each wrong option pairs a real park with the wrong state.

Placing Namdapha in Nagaland or Assam because it is a north-eastern park: it is in Arunachal Pradesh.
Putting Bandipur in Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu: it is in Karnataka, bordering Tamil Nadu's Mudumalai.
