Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Each answer is the key SSC colour-marked on that sheet. SSC released a tentative key for challenge and later its final one, both only to candidates behind a login, and the sheet does not say which of the two it carries. Correct — C. The Sports Ministry's account of KIYG 2023 says the Games ran over 13 days in 15 venues, from 19 to 31 January 2024.

They were held in four cities of Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Madurai, Trichy and Coimbatore, with 26 disciplines, one demo sport and over 5,600 athletes → option (c).

Why the others are wrong

The KIYG 2023 were held in four cities of Maharashtra. — Four cities is right, the state is wrong. The Games were held in Tamil Nadu. Maharashtra topped the medal table but did not host.

The games included 20 disciplines and no demo sport. — Both halves are wrong. There were 26 disciplines, and Tamil Nadu's Silambam was introduced as a demo sport.
(d)
Only 4000 athletes participated in KIYG 2023. — Too low. Over 5,600 athletes took part, according to the Sports Ministry.

Concept

The Khelo India Youth Games 2023 were the 6th edition and the first held in South India. Despite the 2023 in the name, they ran from 19 to 31 January 2024.

The mascot was Veera Mangai (Rani Velu Nachiyar), and the logo carried the poet Thiruvalluvar. Squash entered the Khelo India Games for the first time.

Maharashtra did feature, as the medal-table leader with 158 medals (57 gold), ahead of Tamil Nadu and Haryana. It was not the host.
