Where this paper and its answers come from

SSC does not publish CGL question papers or a public answer key. From 2025 the candidate response sheet prints every question and option as a picture, so the text here is transcribed from those pictures for this shift and checked against them independently; where the layout carries meaning, the picture is shown as well. Correct — C. The National Framework for Climate Services (NFCS) is led by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) under the WMO's Global Framework for Climate Services.

Concept

Climate services turn climate data and forecasts into information someone can act on — an agromet advisory for farmers, a flood or drought forecast, an early warning for vector-borne disease.

The Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) is coordinated by the WMO. NFCS is the national framework under it, led by IMD in the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

IMD's stated aim is to strengthen the production, delivery and application of climate monitoring and prediction services, working with the agencies that use them.
