Why

Correct — C. The e-GOPALA application, and the web version of it, come from the National Dairy Development Board.

NDDB built it for the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying as a farmer-facing tool for livestock management — finding disease-free germplasm and breeding services, animal nutrition advice, and alerts for vaccination and other due dates.

The Prime Minister launched the mobile app in September 2020, and the web version puts the same NDDB platform in a browser. The organisation in option (c) is the one behind both.

Why the others are wrong

Concept

NDDB is the operational arm of India's dairy story: set up in 1965 at Anand in Gujarat, and made a statutory body by an Act of Parliament in 1987.

It ran Operation Flood from 1970, the programme that built the milk cooperative network on the Anand pattern and linked village producers to city markets.

So when a question involves dairy or livestock delivery — an app, a cooperative, a breeding programme — NDDB is the likely answer, while ICAR and its institutes own the research side.

The question asks about the web version specifically. Both the app and the web version are the same NDDB platform, so the developer does not change between them.
