Correct — C. Lokranjan is keyed to Madhya Pradesh — a festival of that state's folk and tribal arts.

There is nothing inside the name to reason from. This is recall, and the way in is the state's folk-culture profile rather than the word itself.

Why the others are wrong

Jharkhand — Jharkhand's tribal calendar is headed by Sarhul, the spring festival of the sal tree, celebrated by the Oraon, Munda and Santhal. Lokranjan is not part of it.

Manipur — Manipur's festival vocabulary runs to Lai Haraoba and Yaoshang, tied to Meitei ritual and to the Manipuri dance tradition rather than to a folk-and-tribal arts festival of this name.

Meghalaya — Meghalaya's named festivals are the Garo Wangala and the Khasi Shad Suk Mynsiem — a harvest festival and a spring dance, each carrying its own name.

Concept

Folk-festival items are matched by state, and the pairing is arbitrary: the name will not tell you the state.

What works is building the list from the other end — keep two or three named festivals per state, then recognise which option is out of place.

Madhya Pradesh anchors a large body of tribal-arts material because it has the largest Scheduled Tribe population of any Indian state in absolute numbers, and Bhopal is a centre for documenting it.
