Correct — A. The State Legislature is the third chapter of Part VI, and it runs from Article 168 to Article 212.

Part VI is titled The States and is laid out the way the Union is — the Governor and his Council of Ministers first, then the legislature, then the High Courts.

Article 168 opens that chapter by providing a Legislature for every State, consisting of the Governor and one or two Houses. That is the stem's subject exactly, so option (a) is the matching range and Part.

Article 168 also settles a fact worth carrying away: a State Legislature is the Governor plus one or two Houses.

The Governor is a constituent part of the legislature, not merely the authority who assents to what it passes.
