Correct — B. India finished fourth in the overall medals tally at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The haul was 61 medals — 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze.

Australia headed the table, England came second as hosts and Canada third, which places India at option (b).

Why the others are wrong

2 — England finished second at Birmingham, competing at home. India's own second place came at Delhi 2010, not at these Games.

The Commonwealth Games are held every four years among nations of the Commonwealth, and the overall tally is ranked by gold medals first, then silver, then bronze.

Birmingham hosted the 2022 edition from 28 July to 8 August 2022. India's 61 medals placed it fourth, behind Australia, England and Canada.

The programme changes from edition to edition, and that matters for India's rank: shooting, a discipline India had won heavily in at Gold Coast 2018, was not held at Birmingham at all.

Compare the two most recent editions rather than memorising one. At Gold Coast 2018 India won 66 medals and finished third; at Birmingham 2022 it won 61 and finished fourth, with shooting off the programme.
