Correct — C. The mirror MN is a vertical line, so the reflection reverses left and right and leaves top and bottom exactly as they are.

Option (c) is the strip in which all seven characters are reversed and none has been turned over instead. Its f still hooks from the top of the stem, and its B carries both bowls on the left.
Why the others are wrong
- (a)Two characters are wrong. The f is turned through 180 degrees — its hook sits at the bottom of the stem — and the B is not reflected at all, its spine still on the left as in option (d).
- (b)The 9 comes out as a 6 — the digit rotated, not reflected — and the a keeps its stem on the right, so it has not been reversed either. Rotation is not a mirror.
- (d)The B stands the right way round, bowls still opening rightwards. B is not symmetric about a vertical axis, so a reflection has to reverse it.
Concept
A mirror standing on a vertical line swaps left and right and leaves top and bottom alone.
Two things happen together. The order of the characters reverses, so the last character of the string becomes the first character of the image. And each individual glyph is flipped left to right, so K opens leftwards and 5 and 9 face the other way.
Characters symmetric about a vertical axis — A, H, M, O, T, U, V, W, X, Y, 0, 8 — look identical in such a mirror, so they decide nothing and are worth skipping over.
The four options are near-identical strips, so scanning one as a whole will not separate it from its neighbours. Compare character by character against the reversed order.
