Correct — B.

Rule: a mirror on a vertical line reverses the left-to-right order and laterally inverts every character.

The strip reads h E r d 7 % with MN standing vertically to its right, so the image must read % 7 d r E h, each glyph flipped left for right.

Use the reverse test rather than eyeballing it: mirror the option back about a vertical line and compare with the stem.
Only option (b) returns h E r d 7 % character for character.

Why the others are wrong

(a)
Flip option (a) back and it gives h E r q 7 and a reversed %. Two glyphs fail: d appears as p, which is d turned 180 degrees rather than its mirror b, and the % is not inverted at all.
(c)
Every glyph is mirrored except the h, which is left facing its original way. Flip option (c) back and the first character returns as a reversed h.
(d)
The 7 is the single character left unmirrored. Flip option (d) back and h, E, r, d and % all return correctly, but the 7 comes back leaning the wrong way.

Concept

A mirror reflects across the line it stands on. When that line is vertical, as MN is here, two things change together and both have to be checked.

First the order reverses: the character nearest the mirror stays nearest it, so the whole strip reads backwards.

Second each character is laterally inverted: d becomes b, E becomes a reversed E, 7 leans the other way.

Characters symmetric about a vertical axis — H, O, A, 8 — look unchanged, so they carry no evidence about whether you mirrored correctly.

The three wrong options all get the reading order right and fail on the glyphs. Reversing the sequence is not enough to separate them, so you have to inspect character by character.

Key facts

A vertical mirror reverses the order of the characters and flips each one left for right.
The mirror of d is b, and the mirror of a normal % has its diagonal running the other way.
The safest check is to re-mirror the option and see whether it reproduces the stem exactly.

Common traps

Reversing the order of the characters but forgetting to invert each one.
Turning d into p by rotating it 180 degrees instead of mirroring it into b.
Assuming a symbol such as % is symmetric when its diagonal makes it handed.

The mirror line is drawn and labelled MN in the stem, so its direction is given rather than assumed. Read whether it is vertical or horizontal before doing anything else.
