Their smallness is what exams use. In size they sit at the boundary between cell and virus, though unlike a virus a mycoplasma is a complete cell that reproduces on its own.
Textbooks quote mycoplasma sizes across a range, from about 0.1 µm up to 0.3 µm depending on species and method. The key takes the 0.1 µm figure, and none of the other options is within two orders of magnitude of the range.
