Why the others are wrong

Second, each shape is itself flipped left to right. Glyphs with a vertical axis of symmetry — o and v here, and capitals such as A, H, M, T, U, W, X and Y — come back unchanged, which makes them useless for telling options apart. Check the ones that lack that symmetry.
The lower-case letters are what make this item hard: a flipped n and a flipped z are not letters at all, so there is nothing to read them as and you have to compare stroke by stroke. The y's tail splits the four options two against two, and the n then decides between the survivors.
