Why

Correct — A. Government is divided into three organs - legislature, executive and judiciary - and the legislature of the Union is Parliament.

Article 79 puts it precisely: there shall be a Parliament for the Union, consisting of the President and two Houses, the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) and the House of the People (Lok Sabha).

The load-bearing word in the question is Union, because a state's legislative organ carries a different name.

Why the others are wrong

Executive — The executive implements the law - at the Union level the President, the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. It is one of the three organs, but not the law-making one.

Legislative assembly — A legislative assembly is a house of a state legislature, not of the Union. The word legislative is what makes it tempting, and the word Union is what rules it out.
(d)
Judiciary — The judiciary interprets law and settles disputes. It is a correctly named organ of government, which is not the same as being the legislative one.

Concept

The Constitution builds the same three-organ structure twice over, once for the Union and once for each state.

At the Union, Article 79 creates Parliament as the President plus the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha. The President is part of Parliament even though the President sits in neither House.

At the state level, Article 168 creates a legislature of the Governor and either one house, the Legislative Assembly, or two, where a Legislative Council also exists.
