Why the others are wrong

Concept
A mirror on a vertical line gives lateral inversion: left and right swap, top and bottom do not.
Two things change together, and a wrong option usually does only one of them. The characters come out in reverse order, and each individual character is itself flipped left to right.
Symmetric characters are the free ones. A capital T has a vertical axis of symmetry, so it survives the mirror unchanged and gives you a fixed point to check your reading against.
The orientation of MN decides everything.
Had the line been drawn horizontally, this would be a water-image question: the order would stay T a r 4 7 g b and each character would flip top to bottom instead.
