PET is the base polymer for polyester fibre, which is routinely blended with cotton or wool in textiles to improve wrinkle resistance and strength (Statement 1 correct). It can be recycled mechanically or chemically into fibres, sheets and even new bottles (Statement 3 correct). High-proof alcoholic beverages are generally not packed in PET because ethanol can permeate the plastic and leach additives, so saying it can store "any" alcoholic drink is wrong (Statement 2 false). Incinerating PET produces CO₂ and other greenhouse gases, so Statement 4 is also false. Therefore, only 1 and 3 are correct.
