(a) Rasa – its limbs and varieties (1×5 = 5)
i. Who has propounded the definition – “Vibhāvānubhāva-vyabhicāri–saṃyogād-rasa-niṣpattiḥ” ?
ii. In the following lines identify the Rasa and write it together with its Sthāyibhāva (permanent emotion):
“Manas samāna meṃ aruṇa paḍā, jal jyuṃ bīja ho ghaṇā paḍā;
Is tarah bhakti rāṇā thā, māno sapne meṃ ghaṇā paḍā.”
iii. In the following lines which Saṃyoga (union)-bhāva is expressed?
“He sārate! hai kṛpaṇ kyā, āye swayam Devaka bhī,
Ve bhī na jīte samar meṃ, āj kyā mujhse kabhī.”
iv. Define Śṛṅgāra-rasa and name its kinds.
v. In the given stanza determine the Rasa and its Sthāyibhāva:
“Śrīkṛṣṇa ke yug vacan Arjuna krodh se jalne lage …
Saṃsār dekhe ab hamāre śatru raṇ meṃ mūrchhit paḍe …”
