On the basis of the following passage answer the questions that follow. (Answer any one passage.)
Passage-1:
‘Every nation possesses a cultural heritage that keeps enriching it from moment to moment. Man constantly tries to make his life more pleasant, useful, beneficial and joyful. The foundation of this endeavour is the cultural heritage that every human being receives as a legacy, and on the basis of which man develops himself. Some people treat civilisation and culture as the same, which is their mistake. Culture is the elevated and refined form of human life and a means of spiritual attainment, whereas civilisation is the name given to the practical systems and methods that come into use as a consequence of culture. The ideas that reside within civilisation may be called culture. The evaluation of a nation’s civilisation can be made on the basis of its culture.’

Passage-2:
‘Young men! There is no destination before you yet, because so far no one has shown you your goal. Everyone kept saying “Go that way”; no one told or asked you anything. Now you do not even need to ask anyone – decide your own goal. While deciding it, remember that you are not the one who once blindly followed a new truth. There are roads upon roads; while shouldering the burden of the nation you move along winding, uneven paths towards the heights of the future. You walk bearing the prestige of the country even in deserts and difficulties. You alone are the one who, avoiding the wrong paths and pitfalls, moves ahead, turning stumbling-blocks into stepping-stones, and day after day dispelling the darkness of despair. Unite your dreams, and then see how great and vast you are!’
